ACEDIA is a short game about being trans.

Featuring a collection of original stylized audiovisual environments tied through a central story, ACEDIA is a first-person walking simulator that takes you on a journey through high quality hand-crafted environments, animations and soundscapes in search of your community.

Play through the game twice.

How to Play

This game features full support + haptics for controllers (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.)

Please note that Dualsense controllers are supported, but custom haptics will not work for Dualsense for the time being.

• Movement:   WASD / Left Stick
• Look: Mouse / Right Stick
• Pause/Resume: Esc / Xbox: Start / PS: Menu
• UI Interaction: Left Click / Enter / Xbox: A / PS: Cross

Linux and macOS builds are included, but untested (no reports so far of any issues with the Linux build). I will try my best in supporting them.
For macOS users, ACEDIA is not "notarized". Please search online on how to run unsigned software.

About This Project

The goal of this project is to create a highly-polished and complete game with a focus on storytelling, atmospheric environments, and soundscapes. Most art, assets, and code are original creations by me for this project, except for some creative commons assets and code that I sourced from others. No AI is used for any parts of this game.

The mirrors?

A custom reflection rendering system is developed for this game. You can see it in action in many of the reflective surfaces in ACEDIA.  I have turned this system into a standalone open source Godot plugin.
